Day 38 // How others respond to me at a bar

Yesterday, I sat in a bar - 𝑎𝑡 the bar - enjoying my pineapple juice with club soda and a lime.  I scanned the whiskey shelf and didn't feel a twinge of desire for my old usual Washington Apple.

That may have been surprising enough for this 𝙌đ™Ș𝙚𝙚𝙣 đ™€đ™› đ™ƒđ™–đ™„đ™„đ™ź đ™ƒđ™€đ™Ș𝙧, but today may be the icing. I'm sitting here today just 12 minutes into this interview with Dr. Joe Dispenza and realize - for the first time - that I may never return to anything stronger than a glass of wine.

As it turns out, the lack of alcohol in my glass is enough for strangers to spark up a conversation about health, wellness, and habits. When the bartender takes my order, they are overcome with curiosity about my choice.

After sharing about my One Year Challenge, some seem to lament about their own choices and slow their drinking pace. Others talk about how hard it would be for them to do such a thing, citing a lack of willpower. And some others share how they're inspired to make changes.

For me, it's interesting to see people talk themselves out of making bold, healthy, and/or necessary changes. It's like watching a former version of myself.

I have a backlog of experiences to share, so I'm getting busy preparing to record audio and video content as this journey continues...
